Maximizing Your Holiday Sales

Even with Black Friday over, there are still plenty of ways for you to increase commission and maximize sales this holiday season. Keep on reading for some helpful tips and tricks!

• Keep sharing the 10% off discount code. You can find December’s here.
• Be consistent about sharing your link. There are people who like to purchase early, and last minute shoppers.
• Create a holiday gift guide post (if you do this make sure and submit it to the Holiday Gift Guide Challenge for your chance to win some fabulous Sigma products!)
• Make sure to highlight the price range categories in your Holiday Gift Guide post!
• Utilize all of your social networks to share your affiliate link and the discount code!
• Word of mouth! Although affiliate marketing is online based, that doesn’t mean spreading the word to your family and friends won’t help! You can always follow up an in-person conversation with an email or Facebook message including your affiliate link!
• Be strategic with the keywords you use to advertise products: “Gift”, “New”, “Free Gift with $30 Purchase”, “Sale”, etc. 

Online holiday sales are expected to increase by 15% this year so make sure to assess your social media sites and implement these strategies!

We received so many great entries in last month’s Fall Lookbook Challenge and hope to see more in this month’s Affiliate Challenge! For the month of December, we would like to introduce the Holiday Gift Guide Challenge.

For this challenge, we would like to see affiliates create a blog post or YouTube video highlighting various Sigma products for the holidays. You can categorize the gifts any way you prefer. Some examples include:  Gifts under $50, color options, travel essentials, or beginner vs. professional.

Don’t forget to include your affiliate link and implement various affiliate marketing strategies! This is the best time of the year for affiliate sales so take your time to ensure you are making every effort to maximize your sales potential.

• Make the announcement to your blog followers! There are varieties of ways to do this. An effective strategy is to write a new blog post announcing the special and provide all the details to your followers, including the image above.
• If you don’t have a blog, you could mention the sale in a YouTube video and add all the details to the video description box.
• Lastly, make the announcement on all your social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

With the holiday season finally here, now is the perfect opportunity to recommend products to your followers to purchase as gifts or for their personal wish lists. If they are thinking about purchasing any Sigma products, Black Friday is the perfect opportunity to complete their orders AND receive free shipping. A great idea for blog posts and YouTube videos is to recommend products you like personally and share the ones that would make great gifts. 

No matter which strategy you choose to implement, don’t forget the following details:

• The exact dates and times the special will run Thursday, November 22 (12:00 AM Central Standard Time) until 12:00 AM CST Friday, November 23. If you live outside the CST time zone, make sure to convert the time to your location and let your followers know the proper time to order.
• The code to enter at checkout (BF2012).
• Free shipping promotion is valid for First Class shipping worldwide
• Make sure to tell your followers only ONE code can be applied per order. Meaning you cannot use the free shipping code with the monthly discount code.
• Lastly and the most important: Your AFFILIATE LINK! You will earn zero commission if your link is not displayed with the code.
